Music is said to be the medicine of the soul, spirit even the body. The lyrics of a song have a lot to do in this aspect, it is the major thing that touches the heart of man the music does the backup work.
I read a quote sometimes ago it reads thus: "when we are happy we listen to the music, when sorrow comes we understand the lyrics." This happens to be 100% true. 99% of the world's populace are after the melody/music of the song, the beat, the bends say swaggs in the voice of the singer and all sorts not in the lyrics. No wonder why majority joyfully sing songs that are more or less curses and gibberish. Little wonder the Bible tells us in Eph. 5:10 to prove what is acceptable unto God and to live as children of the light.
Are you a chorister or singer? Have you ever wondered why you sing and people seem to be moved with the song and you are not? Especially when the song is a touching one; you are moved to shedding tears and they are not? This is so because:
🎤 People who listen to you are not interested in your styles, melody and a sort but are rather captivated by the lyrics of the song inspired by the holy spirit. If you are a musician or singer who is always singing to show up your talents, you are wrong. Inspire the world with the lyrics.
If reverse is the case, I mean if you are moved and people are not, two things are involved, you are either not a prayerful person or people are less concerned about the lyrics which can either transform, give them new hope, joy and satisfy a longing heart.
Dear readers, be watchful or the kind of songs you sing or dance to, some lyrics are actually not good to hear neither will they add good values to you life.
Musicians, prove the acceptable will of God, impact lives and not enslave lives with your music. Let the spirit of God lead you.
